Support relief efforts for the country of Chile after recent devastation [more...]

CHILE RELIEF – URGENT!
As you probably know, the nation of Chile recently suffered a devastating earthquake. It was one of the most powerful earthquakes on record. We have been in regular contact with our missionary there – Bishop Felix Fuentes and family. We are grateful that they are all safe and there was little damage to their headquarters church in Santiago.

The earthquake damage, however, was much more severe in the two southern regions of Chile. Bro. Fuentes, who oversees many churches throughout the nation, has about 80 churches in heavily damaged southern regions. Unfortunately, many of those churches suffered a severe or total loss. Many of the church members’ homes were destroyed and many of their church people are living on the streets in make-shift shelters with little or no basic supplies such as food, water, clothing and blankets.

Bro. Fuentes is our longest-tenured missionary in the ALJC. He and the several hundred churches that he oversees have been connected with our organization for many years. They are doing an incredible work in the nation of Chile. They are planting churches, training pastors and leaders and experiencing explosive Apostolic revival. As an organization we want to quickly come to the aid and assistance of our brothers and sisters in Chile during this devastating natural disaster.

As soon as it is safe to travel into the southern regions of Chile, Bro. Fuentes and a team from the headquarters church in Santiago will be transporting food and supplies to the churches in the south. Food, water, blankets, tarps and medical supplies are all available to purchase in the capital. We need to immediately raise funds to send to Bro. Fuentes so they can purchase these much needed supplies.

We are asking EVERY CHURCH in the ALJC to take up a special offering for Chile and forward it to headquarters as soon as possible. The people of Chile are in desperate need of immediate assistance.

Please send in your offerings as soon as possible.

Information on how you can support ALJC relief efforts in disaster-stricken Haiti (more...)

Pastor Ball, head of ALJC relief efforts in Haiti, has produced a new video to give us the latest on the situation in Haiti. (The documentary from the trip to Haiti previously featured here can be found at the bottom of this page.)

Rev. Wilner Louissaint, an ALJC licensed minister, is pastor of a thriving 400-member apostolic work in a city near Port-au-Prince. He also works with 14 other apostolic churches in that area.

The earthquake that devastated Haiti recently destroyed his church and most of the homes of his entire congregation. Most all of the 14 churches he’s connected with were destroyed as well. Several church members perished in the quake and many others were severely injured. Pastor Louissaint and most of his congregation are currently living on the streets and are in critical need of food, water, shelter and basic necessities.

Our brothers and sisters of Haiti will need our aid and assistance for months to come. Our long term plan is to ship needed supplies by boat. We will keep you informed about the long term relief effort. However, the unfortunate reality is that shipping aid will take some time, and Pastor Louissaint needs IMMEDIATE assistance.

Understanding this, we have sent Pastor Matthew Ball to Haiti with several thousand dollars in order to get emergency help to Pastor Louissaint. He has purchased supplies and has rendevoused with Pastor Louissaint (January 21). Bro. Ball texts, “Utter devastation. Deplorable conditions. Desperate need.” Will you help? We need to pay for the emergency efforts as well as help long term. Please respond today!

If you would like to send an IMMEDIATE offering for this initial relief endeavor, please do so as soon as possible. You can donate online now using the link below, or by mailing in your donation to the address provided. Please designate this donation for the “Haiti Relief Fund“, making checks payable to “Assemblies of the Lord Jesus Christ”.

Let us pray for the people of Haiti and mix faith with our prayers by giving a generous offering to this cause.
